Condolence From: Mrs. Hamilton Barrow Willis

Condolence: Valerie and family- I am very saddened to learn of your loss. Dave was a very special person with a wonderful talent and an unforgettable voice. But what I will always remember him for was the help he was to me in getting Hamilton dressed and to the ambulance that fateful day in March 1989 when he suffered what proved his final and fatal heart attack. Dave was truly a good neighbor. The world will be less bright but heaven has gained a real ⭐️ Star.

Condolence: Valerie, so sad to hear about Dave. He was a mentor to me way back when in his Jefferson-Pilot days and although we both moved on he managed to stay in touch periodically and reached out to me when I lost my son and that meant a lot. His voice, humor and personality were as big as his compassion and love. My prayers are with you.

Kathy and I often commented on his vocals. He had one of the most soothing voices we had ever heard and a excellent announcer. David, you have left a void in this community that will never be filled.
