Obituary for Marjorie Ruth "Ard" Sheets

Sheets, Marjorie Ard
A lifelong resident of St. Francisville, Margie passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at the age of 87. In her younger days, she was a teller at the Bank of Commerce in St. Francisville. She was instrumental in starting the Grace Episcopal Church ministry at the local nursing home which still continues today. Margie enjoyed working on genealogy and adventurous travels with her husband, Charles.
She is survived by her two daughters and sons in law, Kathy (Jack) Anderson and Virginia (P.M.) Reid; two sons and daughters in law, Charles (Vickie) Sheets and Bob (Eileen) Sheets; eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, one great​ great​ grandchild and a brother, George Ard. She shared a special bond with great granddaughter, Ella Corinne Howle over tea parties, puzzles, and their love of furry creatures. She was preceded in death by​ her husband Charles Allen Sheets Sr. ,​ her parents, Louis and Katie Ard; Brothers, Louis, Jr. and Harold Ard. Margie was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. Sincere appreciation goes to Willia Mae Williams who brought so much happiness and love to Margie in her last year and months. Visitation at Grace Episcopal Church, St. Francisville, Monday, May 8, 2017, from 1:00 pm until funeral services at 3:00 pm. Interment will follow in Grace Church Cemetery. Margie and her family have requested memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
