Obituary for James Dorvan "Jim" Weatherford

A resident of Garyville and a native of Little Rock, AR, he died Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving wife and children. He was 58 and was employed with Pinnacle Polymers. Visiting will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary on Sunday, Mar. 19, 2017 from 5pm until 8pm and continues on Mon. Mar. 20, 2017 from 9am until service at 11am. Burial will be at Azalea Rest Cemetery, Zachary. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Debra Weatherford. 3 daughters, Kama Hulme and husband Jacob; Latia Fear and husband Bradley and Brandy Williams and husband Chris. 2 sons, Michael Weatherford and Joey Braud and wife, Carrie. Mother in law, Messie Billeaudeau. 2 sisters, Ruth W. Ray and Jane Wood and husband, Ronald. 3 brothers, Ronnie Weatherford and wife, Debbie; Harold Weatherford and wife, Peggy and Ronald Weatherford. Grandchildren, Connor Barbier, Peyton Barbier, Brantlee Williams, Juliyana Fear and Laliah -Ann Fear, Brayden Braud, and Nathan Braud. He is preceded in death by his parents, H.W. Weatherford, Sr. and Leenola Muriel Weatherford. brother, Charles J. Weatherford, sisters, Amanda Hefner and Ruby Pauline and father in law, Benton Billeaudeau. Pallbearers will be Carlos Jorge, Kurt Legendre, Errol Villeurve, James “Jimmy” Murphy, James “Jimmy” Granier, and Ben Lingoni. Honorary pallbearers will be Frank James Brannen, Jacob Hulme, Bradley Fear, Chris WIlliams, Connor Barbier, Donald Brannen and Timothy Weatherford. Jim was a loving father and husband whose faith was strong not only in the Lord but in his family. He lived for his grandchildren. He will be missed by numerous family and friends. Not only did he love music but he loved to teach his kids and grand kids a love for music. His love was felt by everyone he met. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking. He was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and was a graduate of Cabot High School Class of 1976. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Gramercy.
