Obituary for Joseph Alexander "Joe" Stott

Joseph Alexander "Joe"  Stott
Joseph Alexander Stott, a native of Centreville, MS and a life long resident of Slaughter, LA. He passed away December 6, 2016 at his home with his wife by his side. A loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He had a long and distinguished career in law enforcement including the Slaughter Police Department and East Feliciana Sheriff’s Office. He was a veteran in the US AirForce. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his great-granddaughters.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Betty Ravencraft: 2 daughters, Rene Weaver and Susan Porter and husband Terry: 4 grandchildren Daniel Weaver, Brittany Weaver, Jeremy Porter, Kayla Perry: 3 great grandchildren, Mikayla Weaver, Kadence Weaver, Rylee Perry. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.C.
and Sarah Young Stott, brother, Conrad Stott and sister, Eileen Siebert: son in law, Jay Weaver and great
grandson, Stephen Michael Weaver, and father-in-law, Jewel Earl Ravencraft, Sr.



Pallbearers will be Earl Ravencraft, Jr., Harry Breeden, Terry Porter, Ray Williams, Daniel Weaver and Randy Maglone. Honorary pallbearers are Jeremy Porter, Talmadge Bunch and Rex Allen.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 8:30 am until service at 11:00 am at Wilson Community Church, Wilson, LA conducted by Reverend Joe Ratcliff, Reverend Harold Babin and Reverend Alvin Hall. Burial will be at Redwood Cemetery in Slaughter, LA.
