Obituary for Olie Ray Pittman Jr.

Olie Ray  Pittman Jr.
Olie Ray Pittman Jr., 90, a native of Tunica, LA and a resident of Clinton, LA, passed at his home in Clinton surrounded by his loved ones on Saturday, September 3, 2016. He was a Cargill Grain Elevator employee for 32 years. He died of natural causes. A visitation will be held at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 from 5pm until 8pm and then on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at the Tunica United Methodist Church on Highway 66 from 10am until funeral services at 12noon, conducted by Rev. Mike Clark. Burial will be in Rogillio Cemetery in Tunica. He is survived by three daughters, Debra Renee Simoneaux; Peggy Sue and L.H. Kirby; Eva Jean and Buddy Cline; two sons, Donald Ray Pittman and wife Beatrice; Ronald Wayne Pittman and wife Tanya; one brother, Pete Pittman of St. Francisville; fifteen grandchildren: Tara LeBlanc, Tania Brown, Jack Glascock, Kristen and Donnie Pittman, Donnie Kirby, Shane Cowart, Sonya Davis, Buddy Cline Jr., Joey Cline, Candace Genusa, Heather Langlois, Lauren, Johnathan, Erin Pittman, and 19 great -grandkids. He is preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Bonnie B. Copeland Pittman; parents Olie Ray Pittman Sr. and Susie Pittman; brothers Bill, Joe, Albert, and J.B. Pittman; and son-in-law Richard Simoneaux. Pallbearers will be Donald Pittman, Joey Cline, Buddy Cline, Shane Cowart, L.H. Kirby, Mike Hughes, Ronald Pittman, and Donnie Pittman. He served in the US Navy during WWII. The family would like to give special thanks to Mike Hughes for the dedication to their Daddy for 13 years.
