Obituary for Baker Newton Forman
Baker Newton Forman, 84, a resident of Zachary, LA died on Thursday, April 14, 2016. He was retired, after working as a heavy equipment operator for IUOE Local 406 for over 45 years. Visitation will be on Monday, April 18, 2016 from 9am until funeral services at 11am at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary, conducted by Rev. Basil Wicker. Burial will be at Azalea Rest Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Oline S. Forman; daughter, Baye Blaylock of Gloster, MS; son, Matthew N. Forman of Zachary; and step-son Mickey Aaron Gamble of Zachary; granddaughter Wendy Travis; step-granddaughter Kaci Gamble; step-great-grandchildren Kaley Brunson and Aliyah Stephens. He was preceded in death by his parents Vestle and Ruby Longmire Forman; sisters Iris Fisk and Peggy Wilson; brother Henry Louis Forman; granddaughter Jessica Travis. He was proud to have served in the US Army. Baker loved operating heavy equipment. He loved vegetable and flower gardening and computer games. The family would like to add a very heartfelt thanks to Trisha Crowley for her compassionate care.
