Obituary for Bobbie Jane Naquin

A resident of Destrehan and a native of Clinton, she died January 27, 2015. She was 82 years old. Visiting will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Clinton on Saturday, January 31, 2015, from 9 am until service at 11 am. Burial will be in Bluff Creek Cemetery, Clinton. She is survived by 2 daughters, Sally Naquin Blackwell and husband, Walter "Pookie", Destrehan and Penny Naquin, Garyville. 3 sons, Charles Edward Naquin and wife, Theresa and Derwin Kirby Naquin and wife, Julie, all of LaPlace and Winston Douglas Naquin and wife, Nita, Norco. A sister, Jewell Kirby Cowsart, California. 14 grandchildren ,Victoria Naquin Vicknair, Jennifer Blackwell Perkins, Kevin Naquin, Brandon Naquin, Matthew Blackwell, Dwayne Hymel, Aaron Naquin, Justin Naquin, Jonathan Naquin, Rebecca Hymel, Shane Hymel, Andrew Blackwell, Brittany Naquin and Nicholas Naquin. 8 great grandchildren, Evan Everette, Brooklyn Perkins, Dillon McToby, Lauren Perkins, Ethan Vicknair, Austin Vicknair, Brycen Naquin and Abigail "Gabby" Naquin. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Clarence Naquin, mother, Edna Kirby Corkern, father, Winston D. Kirby, brothers, Winston E. Kirby, Franklin D. Kirby and Doyle C. Kirby. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Bobbie loved to quilt and make doll clothes and doll houses. She also enjoyed playing the guitar.
