Bernard Dewayne Waller, 88, a resident of Zachary, LA, died on Tuesday, May 23, 2023. He was retired, after working for over 26 years for Dixie Pipeline. There will be a visitation at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary, LA on Friday, May 26, 2023, from 9:00 am until funeral services at 10:00 am. Burial will be at Louisiana National Cemetery. He is survived by three daughters: Alannah Jean Tomberlin and husband Garry of Chattanooga, TN; Loretta Lynn Perkins and husband Craig of Zachary; Lisa Ann Annison and husband Dwight of Zachary; one son, John Wayne Waller and wife Pam of Baton Rouge; six grandchildren: Pamela Jean Welch; Kristina Lyn Perkins; Jason Craig Perkins; Jenny Lynn Suddeth; Brittaney LeAnn Annison; Jenevieve Waller; ten great-grandchildren: Brendan, Kaitlyn, Austin, Sampson, Breann, Kaiya, Dalton, Ian, Isabella, and Theresa; and two great-grandchildren, Luna and Willow, and one on the way, due in September. He is also survived by his faithful companion, Lacey Pearl, his beloved dog. He was preceded in death by his father, John Bernard “Slim” Waller, his mother Genevieve A. Waller, and wife Rita Waller. Pallbearers will be Dwight Annison, Jason Perkins, Chip Peroyea, Clark Lovett, John Waller, and Terry Rodgers. He was a veteran of the US Navy and a proud supporter of the YMCA.
