Sharon Babers Davis, a resident of St. Francisville, died on Sunday, May 14, 2023 at her home. She was 78 years old. Visitation will be at First Baptist Church in St. Francisville on Friday, May 19, 2023 from 6pm until 8pm. Graveside service will be in the family cemetery, Lemon Jackson Cemetery, on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 11am conducted by Pastor Justin Busby. She is survived by her son, Scott Lathrop and wife, Janet. A brother, Bertram F. Babers, III and wife Jerry. 5 grandchildren, Daniel Lathrop and wife, Gabbie, Lora Lathrop, Carter Lathrop, Christopher Lathrop and Curtis Goudeau and wife, Jennifer. 2 great grandchildren, Ella Lathrop and Everly Pace. Sharon is preceded in death by her husband, Carter Davis, long time companion, Al Hill and her parents, Bert and Vida Babers, Jr. Pallbearers will be Scott Lathrop, Daniel Lathrop, Carter Lathrop, Christopher Lathrop, Curtis Goudeau and Michael Benton. Honorary pallbearers will be Bertram F. Babers, III, William Benton and Brian Dooley. Sharon graduated from St. Francisville High School and attended LSU. She was involved with several motion picture shows filmed in West Feliciana. She loved to travel and had a fondness for Ireland and its music. She enjoyed new challenges such as woodworking and jewelry making.
