Carey Eugene Leggett, a resident of Jackson and native of Norwood, died on Monday, May 8, 2023. He retired from Texas Eastern with 35 years of service. Visitation will be at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church in Zachary on Friday, May 12, 2023 from 930am until service at 11am conducted by Fr. Dan Krutz. Burial will be in Jackson Cemetery, Jackson. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ann Leggett. A daughter, Lori Iannazzo and husband, Jeff, Bumpass, VA. A brother, Frank Leggett and wife, Gloria, Jackson. 3 grandchildren, Morgan Iannazzo, Jenna Iannazzo and Ryan Iannazzo. Carey is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Margaret Leggett, brother, Wayne Leggett and sister, Gwen Rhame. Pallbearers will be Ryan Iannazzo, Marlin McGehee, Goody Guttzeit, Scott Broderick, Joseph Guttzeit and Matt Leggett. He enjoyed gardening, spending time with his grandkids, sharing old stories, and joking. Memorial donations may be to the Charity of your choice.
