Obituary for Stephen M "Steve" Jacob

After a lengthy battle with cancer, Steve died on Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023, at his home in Clinton, LA, surrounded by his family. He was 77, a native of Baton Rouge, and a 1963 graduate of Catholic High School. Visiting at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 11444 Church Street, Clinton, Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 9:00am until funeral Mass at 11:00 am, conducted by Fr. Jeffrey Bayhi. Interment to follow at a later date.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marsha H. Jacob, a son, Brett Jacob, a daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Spencer Coxe, grandsons, Brendan Jacob and wife Maeghan, and Britton Jacob, granddaughters, Reygan and Sydney Coxe, great-grandchildren, Eliot and Meyer Jacob; a sister, Harriet Coco; a brother, Joe Jacob(Connie), sister-in-law, Lois Jacob; bother-in-law, Barry Hofmeester (Brenda); sisters-in-law, Rhonda Patin, Paula D’Antoni (Kerry), and numerous nieces and nephews. Steve is preceded in death by his father and mother, Harry and Josie Jacob; brother, Mike Jacob, brother-in-law, Reggie Coco; father and mother-in-law, Cornelis and Hilda Hofmeester sister-in-law, Nita Roy. Special thanks to his sitter and buddy, Mickey, and Pinnacle Hospice for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
