Obituary for Mary Virginia Wilcox Osterberger "Teeter" Lathrop

After living a full life to 100 years old,Mary Virginia (Teeter) Wilcox Osterberger Lathrop, born in Mix, LA, went to meet her Savior on December 31, 2022 at her home, Windy Hill. She is preceded by her mother and father, Alice Elizabeth Gosserand and Albert Whitman Wilcox, her brother, Albert Whitman Wilcox, Jr., her first husband, James Sheldon Osterberger, her second husband, Frank Pratt Lathrop, and her son, Dr. James Sheldon Osterberger, Jr. She is survived by her sons, Albert Whitman Osterberger (Linda)St. Francisville, LA and Donald Louis Osterberger (Danielle)Temecula, CA also her extended family, Betty Lathrop Phelan, Patsy Lathrop Walker (Bill) and Jim Lathrop (Marie). Also survived by 19 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. She was retired from West Feliciana Parish School Board. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church and Daughters of American Revolution. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church to the Building for the Future Campaign, P.O. Box 1249, St. Francisville LA 70775. The family would like to extend a special thank you to The Hospice of Baton Rouge and especially her caregivers, Judy Boytz, Racquel Torres, Ellette Bowman, Polly Besson, Sandra Rue and Little Bits Caregivers and Dr. Chaillie Daniel for all their care and support. There will be a visitation on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in St. Francisville, LA, from 10:00 am until funeral mass at 12:00 noon, conducted by Fr. Brad Doyle.
