Matt Parks, 37, a resident of Pride, LA, died on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at his home. There will be a visitation on Friday, December 9, 2022, at the Bethel United Methodist Church in Indian Mound from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Saturday, December 10, 2022, from 9:00 am until funeral services at 10:00 am, conducted by Rev. Jeff Johnson. Burial will be at South Union Cemetery in Clinton, LA. He is survived by his son, Gunner Parks; mother Elizabeth Morris Parks; two sisters Stephanie Parks Tidwell and her husband Jamie; Virginia Parks; and his grandfather Hershel Morris Jr. He was also survived by two nieces, Emry and Addie Tidwell, one nephew, Hutch Parks, and all his other babies who loved their “Uncle Matt”. He was preceded in death by his father, Sam Parks Sr., his brother Sam Parks Jr.; and his grandparents George and Linda Parks. Pallbearers will be Jim Morris, Rory Albarez, Jamie Tidwell, Hagan Rivet, Storm Lantrip, Brett Perkins, and Daniel Dickerson. Honorary pallbearers will be Gunner Parks, Chuck Harris, and Robbie “Bubba” Robinson Jr. He was a veteran of the US Air Force.
