Mary Joe (Kowalczuk) Ware, a resident of St. Francisville, died on Nov. 4, 2022 at her home. She was 78 years old and a native of Baton Rouge. Visitation will be at Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, St. Francisville, on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022 from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10am conducted by Fr. Brad Doyle. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Catholic Church Cemetery, St. Francisville. Mary Joe is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ted Owen Ware. 2 daughters, Dorothy Ware Sykes and husband, Don and Virginia Ware Bell and husband, Jeff. A son, Joe Ware. 2 sisters, Loretta Fourrier and Nancy Bailey and husband, Van. A brother, George Kowalczuk and wife, Melinda. 7 grandchildren, Alex Sykes, Michael Sykes, Samantha King, Meghan Ware, Tate Bell, Miles Bell and Rhett Bell. 3 great grandchildren, Benjamin Sykes, Owen Sykes and Alden Boyette. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Suzy Ware Canoy and her parents, Joe and Sis Kowalczuk. Pallbearers will be Alex Sykes, Michael Sykes, Tate Bell ,Miles Bell, Rhett Bell and George Kowalczuk. Mary Joe was dedicated to her church, family and community. She was loved and will be missed by many.
