Obituary for Julia Ann Wedding Adams

Julia Ann Petti Wedding Adams, left this Earth July, 16, 2022 at 2PM to be
with her Lord and savior Jesus and waiting love ones. Born February 23,
1935 to Don Petti and Jane Webster Petti and adopted at birth by Charles
Victor and Ruby Law Wedding and raised in Texarkana, Texas. Graduated
from Texarkana Highschool in 1954. She married to Maurice Day Adams,
Sr. on August 8, 1953. They lived in Texas before moving to New Orleans
then to Jackson in 1957. They have four children, Vicki Dione Zachary
(Darryl), Maurice Day Adams, Jr., Roy Daryl Adams (Tanya), Kimmi Dar-Sue
Sellers (Jonathan). Sixteen grandchildren, Jonathan Zachary, Jessica Zachary,
Kay-ce Eagan (Joe), Maurice Adams,III, Michael Adams, Ally Adams, Jarid
Adams, Jermi Adams (Ashley), Jada Barber(Jude), Jayce Adams (Maci),
Aimmi Johnson (Ryan), Adam Allen (Ali), Anna Carrier (Stonewall), Ace
Sellers. Eight great-grandchildren, Harley Adams, Bailee Adams, Brice
Adams, Mable Barber, Hollis Barber, ReeceDay Allen, Beaux Allen, Lottie
Allen, Zachary Bacon. Two great-great grandchildren, Reid Adams and
Weston Adams.

Preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 46 years Maurice
Day Adams, Sr, grandson Maurice Day Adams, III and granddaughter Ally
Christine Adams.

She began her political career in 1986. She was on the Jackson Town Council,
Member of the Private Industry Council (PIC) and Justice of the Peace for
East Feliciana Parish for 22 years.

Julia was a faithful Christian Woman. She was a long time member of First
Baptist Church, Jackson, Louisiana. I don’t think there is a church in this area
that she didn’t attend. She loved visiting with the other congregations hearing
the word of the Lord and singing the gospel. She was an avid football fan.

Visitation will be at First Baptist Church, Jackson, Louisiana Wednesday, July
20, 2022, 5:00 - 8:00 PM. Visitation Thursday, July 21, 2022 10:00 am till
service at Noon conducted by Dr. Joe Nesom and Reverend Keith Cox. Burial
at Jackson Cemetery, Jackson, Louisiana.

Julia always said she wanted her sons to carry her to her final Earthy resting
place so her pallbearers will be her sons Maurice, Jr., Roy Daryl, Son-in-laws
Darryl, Jonathan and grandsons Jonathan, Michael, Jarid, Jermi, Jayce, Adam
and Ace. Honorary Pallbearers Brice, Zachary and Beaux.

We deeply appreciate our family and friends for their thoughtfulness and thank
you most sincerely for your visits, comforting words, the food, the many
singers and especial for the prayers. We also thank Bridgeway Healthcare &
Hospice for helping us through this difficult time. We ask for your continued
