Ervin Lee “Wolf” Vanta, a resident of St. Francisville, died on Friday, July 1, 2022. He was 62 years old and was employed with Anvil Attachments for 30 years. Memorial Visitation will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary on Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 1pm until service at 3pm conducted by Rev. Luke Hendrickson. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Darlene Lassitter Vanta. Children, Adrienne “Dree” Cross and husband, Billy, Elbert Stewart and wife, Christina, Christa Bourque and wife, Crystal, Carol Ellis Smith and husband, Ronnie, Ervin Vanta, Jr. and fiancee’, Jennifer and Candis Vanta. A sister, Beth McClusky and husband, Johnny. 13 grandchildren, Thomas, Tristan, Emily, Serenity, Gracie, Heaven, Kylie, Cheyenne, Gracyn, Abbi, Lilly, Ervin Lee, III, and Damien. He is preceded in death by an infant grandson, Brenden Stewart and siblings, Billy Vanta, Diane Brown, Cathy Young and Betty Spillars. Ervin loved the Saints, yard work and sweet tea. He was a gentle giant with a heart of gold.
