Clara Mason Conerly, age 88, peacefully departed this life June 8, 2022 at Grace Health and Rehab in Slaughter, LA. She was born November 1, 1933 and married her only love, E.J. Conerly, in October 1949. She retired from Feliciana Forensic Facility after working 25 years for the state of Louisiana. She then proudly went to nursing school and obtained her LPN license. She retired from Zachary Manor Nursing Home after over 10 years of service at age 74. Clara is survived by 7 children: Ron (Sharon) Conerly, Yvonne (Darrell) Felker, Dianne (Mark) Thompson, Robert Conerly, Richard (Sheila) Conerly, James Conerly, Katherine Jackson, sister Jane Burnthorn, brother Edward(Carolyn)Bailey. She leaves behind multitudes of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband E.J., brothers James and John Bailey, and grandchildren Amanda Conerly and James Whittington Jr and son in law, Emerson Jackson. Pallbearers will be Jason Conerly, Jacob Conerly, C.G. Conerly, J.R. Conerly, Cody Worley and Jesse James Graves. Funeral services will be held at Charlet Funeral Home in Zachary, LA on Monday, June 13, 2022 with visitation from 9-10:30a followed by service at 10:30a conducted by Pastor Luke Walters. Graveside services to follow in Kokomo, MS at 2p. Special thanks to all the staff at Grace Health and Rehab Center, who provided excellent care to our mother for over three years.
