Charles Bernard Bergeron, a resident of Ethel, died on Thursday, April 28, 2022, with his daughters by his side. He was 92 years old and was a member of IBEW Local 995 of Baton Rouge for 53 years. Visitation will be at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Jackson on Monday, May 2, 2022 from 11am until Mass of Christian Burial at 12pm conducted by Fr. Brad Doyle. Burial will be at Second Baptist Church Cemetery, Jackson. He is survived by his daughters, Linda “Sissy” Bergeron, Glenda “Stinky” Earl and husband, Tommy and Lelia “Tuti” Bergeron. Grandchildren, Greg Travis, Tonya Field, Shellee Harvey and Valerie Earl. Great grandchildren, Tyler Travis, Mac Field, Ainsley Earl, Elle Field, Anna Field, Charlotte Elizabeth Harvey, and Will Stockstill. Great great grandchild, Walker Magruder Field IV (Walker). Special friend, Mary Joyce Allen and her family. CB is preceded in death by his wife, Ava Lea Bergeron, a daughter, Evelyn A. Bergeron, a son, Charles E. Bergeron, his parents, Cleus and Anaise, and his siblings, Winnie Bazare, Jeannie Pitre, Lela David, Ellery Bergeron, Doris Prelosky and Joe Bergeron Pallbearers will be Mitchie Allen, Jason Aaron, Kevin Theriot, Caleb Aaron, Trevor Vice, and Dakota Thompson. Honorary pallbearer will be Tommy Earl. CB enjoyed cajun music, dancing, festivals and gardening. The family would like to thank Baton Rouge General 3rd Floor Staff and special recognition to Corey (PCA) and I’easha (PCA), Pointe Coupee Health Care Staff and Audubon Hospice for all the care and compassion shown to our Dad.
