Faye Dornier Douglas born Jan. 5th 1946, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Faye passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at her home in Jarreau, La. She graduated from Baton Rouge High School. In her earlier adult life, she was a licensed well respected hair stylist for several years in Baton Rouge. All her life, she had a passion and love for all animals and their well-being. She later in life became a horse trainer for 15 years where her love again for interacting with animals became her occupation. She was especially dedicated and goal oriented in that profession but above all the love she maintained for her horses was reflected in her personal touch and care towards all of them each and every day. She loved to dance and will miss her favorite dance partner, her loving husband of 24 years and best friend, Haskell. She was outgoing, very fun loving and enjoyed engaging with her friends and family frequently. She loved music and had a beautiful voice, and enjoyed showing that from time to time. She possessed a unique kindness and understanding to all, and was well devoted to watching LSU Football and Baseball Sporting events on TV. She is survived by her three loving children, Keith T. David, Darin L David and daughter in law, Renee and daughter, Brandie Durham. Step children, Desiree and husband Hudson Green, Donna Rousseau, and Derek Douglas. Grandchildren, Shane and Brandon David, Trey and wife Mary Margaret, Lance, Tyler and Luke David, and Abbie LeDuff. Step Grandchildren, Trey Carpenter, Trista Green, Alexis, DJ and Blair Rousseau and Chelsea, Hayley and Brayden Douglas. Great Grandchildren, Karsyn David, Hadlee David, Aiden and Avery David. Step Great Grandchildren, Zayne and Bella Carpenter, and Everly DeRouchey.She is survived by one brother, Fenton J. Dornier and wife, Linda and nephew, Brent and wife, Angie. Faye is preceded in death by a step son in law, Daryl Rousseau and her parents, Louis and Enola Dornier. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Animal Shelters. Faye's wishes were to have a Celebration of Life Memorial which will be held on Monday, May 9, 2022 at Charlet Funeral Home in Zachary from 5pm until 8pm.
