Obituary for Hollis Catherine "Cathy" Piatkowski (Ferry)

Hollis “Cathy” Catherine Ferry Piatkowski (76) - Born August 15, 1945 to James Ferry and June Hines Delk, a native of Westwego and a longtime resident of Raceland departed peacefully in the loving arms of her husband on Wednesday, March 23, 2022.
Hollis was born in South Carolina, yet soon after her father completed his military service and the family settled in Westwego, Louisiana. She often told stories of traveling to New Orleans by ferry. Together they returned to Louisiana to set their roots and raise a family; and they did just that.

Walker, her daughters Donna Cox Jones (William), Michelle Piatkowski, Catherine Talbot (Corey), her grandchildren Alexander “Alex” Cox, Brandon Bourg, Courtney Cox, Grace Bourg (Isaiah), and Jacob Jones, step-grandchildren Kate Blanchard (Drake), Corey Talbot Jr. (Courtney) and Kacy Talbot, great grandchildren, Finle Blanchard, Greyson Blanchard, Piper Blanchard and her soon-to-be great-grandson, Silas Bourg, her siblings, Elaine Nichols; Earl Brunet (Diana), Louise Chauvin (Charles), Judy Grabert, Maurice Brunet Jr. (June), Totsy Pratt (Jerry), Clayton Brunet (Debbie), Phelix Brunet (Carry), Hope Marter, Chris Brunet (Nancy), Robert Brunet (Becky), Gena Aston (Tommy), James Ferry (Rebecca), Arthur Ferry, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father James Leslie Ferry, her mother June Hines Delk, stepmother Marie Pearl Ferry, stepfather Paul F. Delk, her son Dale Hargraves and brother in law, Victor Marter .
A visitation will be held in her honor on Monday, March 28, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at Charlet Funeral Home (4230 High Street, Zachary, LA 70791). A 1:00 p.m. graveside service and Christian burial will follow in Louisiana National Cemetery, Zachary, LA.
