Jack B. Bogie , "Papa", 77, a lifelong resident of Zachary, LA, went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 30, 2021 surrounded by his children. He was a 1961 graduate of Zachary High School and earned his Bachelor degree from Southeastern LA University in 1966. He retired from Georgia Pacific. He was past president of UPIU Local 1334, a member in good standing of Baker Masonic Lodge # 441 for twenty-five plus years, TKE International Fraternity, and Theta Nu Chapter. He proudly served in the US Navy during the Vietnam Era and earned the National Defense Service Award.
Visitation will be on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc., Zachary from 10:00 am until service time at 12:30 pm. Burial will follow in LA National Cemetery, Zachary.
Jack is survived by his children, Wayne Verbois(Klaire), Tiffany Lollar(Chris) and Joy Kerr(John), sister, Jean Ann Mitchell(James), brother, Thomas E. Bogie(Shirley), grandchildren, Justin Verbois(Kelly), Parker Galloway, Hunter Cox, Leann Lollar, Ashlynn Rome, Samantha Kerr, Blaine Kerr, Christan Kerr and Blake Kerr and great grandchildren, Wyatt Verbois, Lucas Lollar and Kayden Kerr.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents, David Thomas Bogie and Ann Guinn Bogie and brother, James S. Bogie.
