Joseph E. (Eddie) Sparacino, Jr. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the Faith (2 Timothy 4:7) Eddie passed away with his family by his side on April 7, 2021 at the age of 70. He was born and raised in Lettsworth, LA later moving to Pride where he resided with his wife and family. He is survived by his wife of 44 years Maria Sparacino and 4 children Nicole Heirtzler(Aaron) Jeremy Sparacino(Miranda) Amanda St.Pierre(Darren) and Breanna Barber. Five grandchildren, Kali and Slade Heirtzler, Drew Cooper, Caden and Austin St.Pierre. Three Sisters Diane Moreau (Courtland) Laura Piazza (David) Sheila Robertson (Jim) and one brother Gerald Sparacino and numerous nieces and nephews. He served in the US Air Force as an airplane mechanic during the Vietnam Era. For the past 25 years he has worked as a shop foreman at IVS formerly known as SERVS and could do anything from electrical work to custom fabrication. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends regardless if it was at birthday parties, crawfish boils, or just going out to eat. He loved spending time with his grandkids taking them places and doing different things. He enjoyed to hunt and fish and did so whenever he got the chance. He is preceded in death by his parents Joe and Lorraine Sparacino, brother Alan Sparacino, and mother and father-in-law Betty McCormick and Guy Moran. Visitation will be held at Charlet Funeral Home in Zachary on Sunday, April 11, 2021 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and then on Monday, April 12, 2021 from 10:00 am until services at 1:00 pm. Services will be conducted by Pastor Brad Ford. Burial will be at Louisiana National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Sparacino, Drew Cooper, Slade Heirtzler, Josh and Jon Sparacino, Dave and Dwayne Moran, and August Valery. Honorary Pallbearers will be Darren and Caden St.Pierre. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation or St. Jude’s.
