Obituary for Wanda Guillory Crisp

Wanda Guillory Crisp, 90, a native of Mamou, LA, and a resident of Zachary, LA, died on Monday, April 5, 2021. There will be a visitation at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday, April 9, 2021, from 10:00 am until funeral services at 12:00 Noon. Burial will be at Pt. Hudson National Cemetery. She is survived by four daughters: Janice Remmetter and her husband George of Greenwell Springs, LA; Pamela Deshotels and husband Stephen of Arnaudville, LA; Annette Villavaso and husband Steve of Ventress, LA; Elizabeth Crisp of Mandeville, LA; daughter-in-law Mignone Crisp of Washington, LA; sixteen grandchildren, forty-two great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Emare and Beulah Guillory; husband Robert V. Crisp; son Robert Vaughn Crisp II; and sister Jalaine Savant. Pallbearers will be Ryan Hicks, Derek Mire, Connor Hebert, Damien Boyd, Adam Hebert, and Joseph Manuel. Honorary pallbearers will be Cole Birdsong, Travis Dies, and David Remmetter. She was a native of Mamou, LA. She will be remembered by all as a generous person with her time, always taking care of family and friends whenever she was needed. She was fun-loving and loved to play bourée, and she could slap a domino or two also. She was an excellent cook and hostess for many holidays, birthdays, and whatever event came up. She rocked many a grandbaby. She will be missed by her family and her many friends, especially her dear lifelong friend, Kathleen Aucoin, who has been her friend since the Second Grade. She moved to Zachary with her husband in 2002 and made many new friends.
