Obituary for Dale Lafayette "Big Block" Pumphrey
Dale "Big Block" Lafayette Pumphrey, 61, a native of El Dorado, AR, went to his eternal home on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at his home in Zachary. He worked as a Millwright for 11 years at Hood Container of Louisiana. Visitation will be on Friday, April 2, 2021 at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc., Zachary from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm followed by a 2:00 pm graveside service at Center Point Cemetery, Strong, AR on Saturday April 3, 2021.
Dale is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Teena Marie Pumphrey, sons, Jeff Sturdivant and wife Kelli of Monroe, LA, Shawn Pumphrey of Walker, LA, special girls, Rhonda Brown and husband Bill of Smackover, AR, Melissa Pumphrey of Mer Rouge, LA and Belinda Golden and husband John of Smackover, AR, brothers, John L. Pumphrey of Junction City, AR, and Roy G. Pumphrey and wife Ruth of Smackover, AR, grandchildren, Tristan P. Jones, Channing J. Pumphrey and Kaden S. Pumphrey, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and special pets, Gemma, Asher and Honey.
Dale is preceded in death by his parents, John L. Sr. and Opal Pumphrey, brothers, Jesse Pumphrey, Kenneth Pumphrey and Allen Pumphrey and special pets, Belle and Crixus.
