Obituary for Preston Joseph "Coon" Johnson

Preston Joseph “Coon” Johnson, 59, a resident of St. Francisville, LA, died on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at his home. He has worked as a driver for Prison Enterprises for over 16 years. There will be a visitation at Tunica Methodist Church on Friday, March 5, 2021 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm with a graveside service at Rogillio Cemetery to follow. He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Becky Johnson; one daughter, Jessica Felder; four sons: Bobby Malina and wife Alison Malina; Jason Malina and wife Jeri Ayn Malina; Wesley Johnson; and Carter Johnson; his mother, Isabell Johnson; one sister Rhonda Fussell; two brothers, Patrick Johnson and his wife Ann Johnson; and Charlie Johnson; and five grandchildren: Koben Lambert, Karli Lambert, Bodie Malina, Evelyn Felder, and Annabelle Malina. He was preceded in death by his father, Steven Johnson, brother Merrick Johnson, and sister Shelia Ann Johnson. Pallbearers will be Carter Johnson, Wesley Johnson, Jason Malina, Michael Mulkey, Terry Ross, and Patrick Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Kim Kimble, Charlie Johnson, Ricky Herrington, and Billy Baggett. He loved hunting and fishing and spending time outdoors. He lived for his grandchildren and truck driving. Coon has asked that for his funeral, he would like all of his friends to dress comfortably. In his words, “like you’re going to cut your grass.”
