Obituary for Milly Collins Varner

Milly Collins Varner, 79, a resident of St. Francisville, LA, died on Tuesday, January 12, 2021. All who knew her loved her. She was a God loving southern belle, always putting everyones needs before her own. She retired as a nurse of over 35 years. She enjoyed all aspects of life but especially her time as an active member of First Baptist Church, St. Francisville. She served many cookies during Vacation Bible School, provided her sweet tea for many functions, served on the Hostess Committee, and fellowshipped with the Keenager group. She particularly loved all her Sunday School class members and spending time with them. There will be a visitation on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at the First Baptist Church of St. Francisville from 9:00 am until funeral services at 12:00 noon, conducted by Dr. Joel Williams and Rev. Joe Ratcliff. Burial will be at Feliciana Cemetery. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Howard Varner; two daughters and one son all of St. Francisville, Kim Maxwell and husband Johnny (Scooby); Karla Bringedahl and husband Allen (Buster); one son, Kendal Varner and wife Patti; one sister, Hilda Burns and husband Ralph of Madison, MS; seven grandchildren: Taylor and Mandy Maxwell; Wesley and Molly Maxwell; Lyndsay Varner; Savannah and Matt Pacobit; Lindsey Dooley; Elizabeth Bringedahl; Jordan Bringedahl; six great-grandchildren: Tayler Grace, Skylar, Jackson, Raine, Collins, and Grayson. She was preceded in death by her parents, three siblings, and grandson Joseph Varner. Pallbearers will be Stewart Hawkins, Gage Hawkins, Max Hawkins, Taylor Maxwell, Wesley Maxwell, and Matt Pacobit. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Hawkins, Jackson Maxwell, and Sgt. First-Class Justin Walker.
