Katherine Prewitt Carpenter Auer passed away on Dec. 30, 2020 at Grace Health and Rehab. She was 84 years old and a resident of Jackson. She was a retired teacher with East Feliciana Parish School Board with 34 years of service. Due to Covid-19, a private graveside service will be held at Wales Cemetery, Greensburg. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Frank Auer, her children, Barbara Barnes and Derek Carpenter and wife, Jennifer. Step Children, Toni Teepell, Chip Auer and Karen Hillyard. Katherine was a very educated Christian woman, a great educator and Best Mom Ever. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and United Daughters of the Confederacy. Special thanks to the caregivers at Grace Health and Rehab for the care shown to our Mom. Also to Beth Dawson for all you’ve done for Mom and our family over the years. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation in her name. She will be missed.
