Obituary for Betty Raye Pace

Betty Raye Pace, a resident of Gonzales and a native of Deerford, died on Sunday, Dec. 27, 2020. She was 79 years old and was a former Ward Clerk at Doctors Hospital. Visitation will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021 from 9am until service time at 11am conducted by Rev. Reggie Willcutt. Burial will be in Sandy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Pride. She is survived by her children, Connie Dufrene and husband, Harold, Frank McGraw and wife, Dawn and Shara Mansur and husband, Trey; and numerous nieces and nephews. 30 grandchildren, Richard, Jason, Casie, Adam, Kenny, Zack, Trey, Byron, Melissa, Michelle, Jennifer, Dia, Angela, Blake, Brannon, April, Danielle, Kourtney, Taylor, Chelsea, Travis, Morgan, Joseph, Faith, Trey, Lance, Crystal, Josey, Chad and Ashley. 27 great grandchildren, Amelia, Justin, Justice, Jia, Uriah, Jamie, Daylen, Conner, Taylor, Gracie, Lanie, Jaydon, Kodie, Korey, Olivia, Sophia, Connor, Branson, Brock, Blakley, Jr., Christian, Alessa, Shelby, Peyton, Macyn, Trinity, and Liam. Great great granddaughter due in Feb. 2021, Naemi. Preceded in death by her husband, Diamond Daughtry, children Marty, Theresa, Clark, Johnny, Larry and Tom, grandson, Brandon, great granddaughter, Breanna, parents, Quitman and Alice Pace, Twin sister, Alice and a niece Kathleen[NW1]. Pallbearers will be her son in law, Harold and grandsons, Richard, Jason, Adam, Bryon and Joe. Betty was the last surviving sibling of 21. Special thanks to Ascension Oaks and Our Lady of the Lake Ascension for all their care and compassion given to our mother.
