Mary Elizabeth Allen Prewitt, a lifelong resident of Jackson, died on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020. She was 74 years old. Visitation will be at First Baptist Church in Jackson on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2020 from 9am until service at 12pm conducted by Dr. Joe Nesom. Burial will be in Jackson Cemetery, Jackson. She is survived by her children, Paul A. “Pap” Prewitt and wife, Kerry and Jan Lanoue and fiance’ John. Her mother, Donis Allen, a brother, Victor Wendell Allen and wife, Judy. Grandchildren, Paul Alan “Al” Prewitt, II and wife, Nicole, Kyle Lanoue, Hannah Prewitt and Kristin Lanoue. 2 great grandchildren, John and Raelynn. She is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Walter Ray Prewitt and her father, Buck Allen. Mary was a graduate of LSU and the biggest LSU FAN. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Jackson where she was the Nursery Director for years. She was also a member of the Jackson Assembly and the Wednesday Club.
