Obituary for Lloyd Pierre "Dud" LeBlanc
LeBlanc, Lloyd "Dud", 95, born in Morganza and a longtime resident of Clinton, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 14, 2020. Visitation will be on Friday, June 19, 2020 at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Clinton, from 12:00 noon until mass at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery.
Dud is survived by his daughter, Cheryl Cornette and husband Mac, daughter in law, Yvette LeBlanc, sister, Betty Ann Whitemore, brother, Welton LeBlanc and wife, Lorraine, grandchildren, Stacey Alleman, Heath LeBlanc, Tonya Alleman, Heather Aucoin, Lance LeBlanc, Doug LeBlanc, Jeremy Cornette, Billy LeBlanc and Justen Cornette and numerous great and great great grandchildren and special friends who were like his family, Glynn and Alice Mayers and their children. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ann LeBlanc, son, Billy LeBlanc and great grandchildren, Cassidy, Tyler and Caleb. Pallbearers will be Ethan Aucoin, Dewitt Aucoin, Justen Cornette, Jeremy Cornette, Kaine Cornette and Heath LeBlanc. Honorary pallbearer is Glynn Mayers.
Dud enjoyed woodworking, fishing, painting, playing cards and dancing. He served in the US Army during WWII as an 82nd Airborne Paratrooper. He was a lifelong member of Clinton Fire Department and the first EMT in Clinton. He was also a longtime member of Clinton Lions Club, Knights of Columbus, Men's Club, Usher and Eucharist Minister at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church and the VFW. He cooked and served many meals for various fundraisers including the Boy Scouts of America. He was a proud supporter of the Silliman and Clinton families. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to St. Jude's Children Research or Hospice of Baton Rouge.
