Hi, I have worked with Charlie at LDEQ for the past few years. I will never forget his yelling out at the top of his lungs, "ROXANNE!!" as he was listening to "The Police" while he was working. This startled me, of course, but now I look back and find some humor in it. Charlie was one of my neighbors at work, and he, David Ferrand, and I would joke around for a lot of the day as we would do our work. I will really miss him. He added a lot to DEQ. I am so glad to have known him for the short time that I did. Another thing we would sometimes talk about was our faith in Christ. This gives me comfort during this time to know that he spoke of Jesus as his personal savior, which is most important.
God Bless,
Della "Dee Dee" Smith

I was saddened to hear if Charlie's passing. We became friends when he worked for the Department of Agriculture and Forestry, and we remained friends after he went to work for DEQ. Charlie was funny, smart, and generous. I wish I'd visited with him more recently. May he rest in peace.

Charlie was smart and funny. I got to know him at DEQ many years ago when we worked in the same office. Since then, he would exchange funny comments and joke around every time our paths crossed. He made me smile every time and I will miss that.

I worked with Charlie at DEQ, and went to lunch with him 2 times a week. He worked hard and had a grasp of many topics. He was a good guy. I will miss him.
