Obituary for Monroe Lee Foster

Monroe Lee Foster, 85, a resident of Slaughter, LA, died on Wednesday, October 9, 2019. He was retired, after working for 38 years for Feliciana Forensic Facility and 13 years for the East Feliciana Sheriff’s Office. There will be a visitation at Plank Road Baptist Church on Highway 67 in Slaughter on Monday, October 14, 2019, from 10am until funeral services at 12 noon, conducted by Rev. Burnie Schmidt. Burial will be in the church cemetery. He is survived by his daughter, Karen Sue Foster of Slaughter; one son, Kenneth Rist Foster of Slaughter; two sisters, Bea Aguillard and husband Mitch Aguillard of Baton Rouge; Ocia Collier and husband Huey Collier of Greensburg, LA; one brother, Wilson Foster of Winterhaven, FL; four grandchildren, Natasha Gremillion, Aaron Foster, Christopher Ochterbeck, and Kendall Foster; six great-grandchildren: Hunter Gremillion, Zakary Cambre, Peyton Foster, Preston Foster, Phoenix Gremillion, and Wade Ochterbeck. He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Foster, mother Sallie Guy Foster Milton; brother James Foster, and wife Bonnie Jean Foster. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Foster, Curtis Gremillion IV, Bruce Collier, Mitch Aguillard, Christopher Ochterbeck, and Aaron Foster. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe McCray, Huey Collier, and Monroe Redmond. He was a proud veteran of the US Air Force.
