Obituary for Linda Reeves Wicker (Nunnery)
Linda Reeves Nunnery Wicker, 75, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at her home in Slaughter.
She was a native of Liberty, MS.
Visitation will be on Monday, June 24, 2019 at Slaughter First Baptist Church, 3227 Church St., Slaughter, LA 70777 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at the church from 10:00 am until service time at 11:00 am conducted by Rev. Raymond Taylor, Thomas Wicker and Trae' Treloar. Burial will follow in Redwood Cemetery, Slaughter.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Rev. Basil H. Wicker, Jr., sisters, Joyce Cothren(Roger), Margaret Gee(Kenny), brothers, Tebo Wicker(Ruby), Carroll Wicker(Betty) and Malcom Wicker(Maurine), all of Smithdale, MS, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John Ivy and Lurline Reeves Nunnery, sister, Mattie Glenn Nunnery Hawkins and brother, John Ivy Jr.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Wallace, Ryan Wallace, Anthony Reno, Ethan Wicker, Kenny Jones, Joey Belk, Allen Hobgood and Ted Lormand. Honorary pallbearers will be Slaughter First Baptist Church Ministers, Deacons and Lamar Bridges.
Linda had a Masters Degree in music from William Carey College. She was a pianist and organist at Slaughter First Baptist Church for many years. She taught piano and voice lessons and was an Avon Representative for over 15 years.
