William Walter Saari Sr., “Bill”, 77, a resident of Zachary, LA, died on Friday, February 1, 2019. He was retired, after working for Gulf States Utilities for over 18 years. He was a native of Republic, MI. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Colleen “Lolly” Saari; one daughter, Angela Willis of Zachary; two sons, William W. Saari, Jr. and his wife Deborah of Pollok, TX; Shawn D. Saari of Zachary, LA; grandchildren: Kennedi Saari, Grant Willis, and Reid Saari; and Jessica Vestal, Christy Johnson, and Max Vestal; and great-grandchildren Ariel Johnson, Mia Johnson, Serenity Vestal, and Lincoln Vestal. He is also survived by his niece Lori Gauthier and her husband Scott. And special friends Allison, Mason, and Carter. He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Elsie Saari and sister Kareena Mattson. He is remembered as an avid horseman.
