Obituary for Dolores Barbay Fourrier

Dolores Cecile Barbay Fourrier, 87, died on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Grace Health and Rehab in Slaughter. There will be a visitation at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Clinton on Friday, December 21, 2018 from 10 until funeral mass at 11am, conducted by Fr. M. Jeffery Bayhi. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Baker. She is survived by two sons, Paul B. Fourrier, Jr. and his wife Debbie Fourrier of Opelousas, LA; Darrell Wayne Fourrier and his wife Patricia Netles of Clinton, LA; son-in-law Robert Lanier of Fairfield Bay, AR; one sister, Ellen Ducote and husband Cilton Ductoe of Bayou Current, LA; two brothers, August Barbay III and wife Jeanette Barbay of Rougon, LA; Kenneth Barbay and wife Pat Barbay of Baton Rouge; six grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Irene Marie Fourrier Lanier; and her husband of 65 years, Paul B. Fourrier, Sr. Pallbearers will be Allen Barbay, Bobby Blouin, B.J. Lanier, Adam Fourrier, Tony Quebedeaux, and Steve Cambre. Dolores lived a full life and was a devoted wife and mother. “Little Mama” or “Little Mawmaw” as she was called by friends and family, Dolores always thought of others before herself, and always had a kind word to help brighten a day. She was a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Clinton.
