Obituary for James Robin Lindsey

James Robin Lindsey, known to friends as “Jim”, went to be with our Lord on December 2, 2018 at the age of 63. Jim was a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He grew up in Sanger, Texas where he graduated from Sanger High School in 1973 and performed in the High School Marching Band. After graduation, Jim served our country in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant E-4. Music became his life! He could play most all musical instruments but his true love was his pedal steel guitar! Jim toured the country playing concerts all across the nation. He always had a smile on his face and loved helping others. Jim had fond memories of working as a cross-walk guard for Brookstown Elementary in his younger years. He is preceded in death by his parents, James L. Lindsey and Helen Brown Lindsey and brother in law, Ed Elledge of Ft. Gibson, OK.

He is survived by his sisters, Bertha Elledge of Ft. Gibson, Ok and Janie Allmon and husband, Bob of Aurora, MO. Nieces, Michele Mortensen and husband, David of Zachary and Sarena Nelson and husband, Steve of Park Hill, OK. Numerous great nephews and nieces as well.

It’s not “Good Bye” but “Only until we meet again.” Jeremiah 33:3 – Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
