Linda Claire Causey Martinez, 70, a resident of Zachary, LA, died on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at her home. She was a native of Centreville, MS, and a retired employee of the State of Louisiana. There will be a visitation on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at the Zachary First Baptist Church from 10am until funeral services at 12noon, conducted by Rev. Paul Ballard. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Baker. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Kraig Patrick Martinez; one daughter, Kristi Loy and her husband Kenneth Loy of San Antonio, TX; one son, Kraig Paul Martinez and wife Misty Smith Martinez of Brookhaven, MS; two brothers, Jerry Causey and wife Carol of Zachary; Larry Causey and wife Judy of Greenwell Springs, LA; sister-in-law Judy Joiner Causey; four grandchildren: Brennan Loy, Phillip Loy, Sarah Martinez Burris, and Adam Martinez. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Sewell Causey and Mattie Mae Causey; and her brother, Billy Causey. Pallbearers will be Paul Martinez, Kenneth Loy, Adam Martinez, Lucas Burris, Joe Causey, Josh Causey, and Brennan Loy. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Causey and Larry Causey. She graduated from Baker High School and then from Delta Junior College with a degree in Accounting. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Hospice.
