Charles “Chuck” Alton Landrem went home to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 17, 2018 at age 82. “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made Heaven and Earth. The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil; he shall preserve thy soul” - Psalm 121. A faithful and loving husband, father and grandfather, he passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side after a long battle with numerous illnesses including being a cancer survivor, never to complain. Born and raised in Shreveport and Minden Louisiana, he was a resident of Zachary. He attended Louisiana Tech University. Chuck served his country in the U.S. Army and U. S. Air Force. Throughout his career he worked for several companies and himself as draftsman, estimator and as an inspector before retiring in 2006 from Ford, Bacon and Davis. He and his wife, Frances, loved to travel, spend time with family at Navarre Beach and at Grandpa’s in the country and his granddaughter’s activities. He also loved to play golf with his sons and brother-in-law Steve. His hobbies were playing golf, photography, traveling, and being able to repair just about anything. His wonderful sense of humor and gentle forgiving way will be greatly missed by all. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church Zachary, serving as Sunday School teacher and director of second grade for twenty five years. He loved the children and they loved “Mr. Chuck”. He was a 32nd Degree Scottish Mason and a York Rite Mason, member of Washington Chapter No. 5, Baton Rouge Council No. 11, and Plains Commandry No. 11, all of Baton Rouge, La. Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Frances Carter Landrem of Zachary, two sons S. Kyle Landrem and wife Donna of Baton Rouge, Jason P.
