James A. Flotte, Sr. “Jimmy”, a resident of Clinton, LA died on Saturday, November 17, 2018. He was retired from Omega Industrial Suppliers, Inc. where he worked as the Chief Financial Officer. There will be a visitation on Monday, November 19, 2018 at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary from 5pm until 7pm and then on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 from 9am until funeral services at 10am, conducted by Rev. E. Lorraine Gibson. Burial will be at Masonic Cemetery in Clinton. He is survived by two daughters, Johnie Flotte and her husband Roy; Jennifer Flotte Smith and her husband Sean; two sons: Jimmy Flotte, Jr. and his wife Marcie; Jeremy Flotte and his wife Felicia; and nine grandchildren: Christopher Holmes, Cameron Holmes, Alayna Flotte, Avery Flotte, Trip Flotte, Trent Flotte, William Wiebush, Conlee Flotte, and Cal Wiebush. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Blanchard Flotte; and parents Rene J. Flotte and Doris Rourke Flotte. Pallbearers will be Bobby Blanchard, Preston Boyd, LaVelle Peterson, J.M. “Jim” Bello III, Sean Smith, and Roy Wiebush. Honorary pallbearers will be all of his male grandchildren: Chris Holmes, Cameron Holmes, Trip Flotte, Trent Flotte, William Wiebush, and Cal Wiebush. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and sports, including football and baseball. The family wishes to thank Audubon Hospice and special cousins Marsha and Preston Boyd for their compassion and care.
