Obituary for Ellen Harvey Smith

Ellen Harvey Smith, a resident of Central and former employee of CNC Mechanical Contractors and Baton Rouge Press, died on Monday, September 10, 2018 at her home. She was 71 years old. Visitation will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018 from 5pm until 8pm and continues on Friday, Sept. 14, 2018 from 9am until service at 10am conducted by Rev. Jay Avance. Burial will be in Greenoaks Memorial Park, Baton Rouge. She is survived by her sons, John D. Smith, Michael T. Smith and wife, Lacretia Johnson and Robert L. Nelson, Jr. and wife, Raquel. 6 grandchildren, Celeste M. Smith, Keasha L. Conner, Randy L. Nelson and wife, Claire, Lora M. Nelson, Stephen R. Nelson, Zachary G. Nelson, and Brooke S. Scanlon and husband, Kohl. 5 great grandchildren, Kolton, Leighton and Cashton Conner, Naceigh M. Sagely and Ryker Scanlon. She is preceded in death by her son, Terry A. Smith, parents, Oma and Wanda Harvey and her brother, George Harvey.

Ellen enjoyed sewing and needlepoint and playing cards and Pokeno with her “girls”.
