Marion "Kay" Barksdale  Knight
Marion “Kay” Barksdale Knight died on Friday, June 29, 2018 at her home in Slaughter. She was 55 years old and worked at Town of Slaughter for over 10 years doing book keeping and accounting. Visitation will be at Passion Connection, 9250 Hwy 19, Slaughter, on Sunday, July 1, 2018 from 4pm until 7pm and continues on Monday, July 2, 2018 at the church from 9am until service time at 11am conducted by Darryl Hall and Bro. Reggie Willcutt. Burial will be in Redwood Cemetery, Slaughter. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Jerry Dale Knight. 2 brothers, Jay Barksdale and Clay Barksdale all of Slaughter. 2 grandchildren, Ginger Haven Spurlock and Lyndie “Winnie” Darrow Spurlock. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Lillie Sobers Barksdale. Pallbearers will be Dwayne Hall, Jacob Barksdale, Blake Barksdale, Tyler Barksdale, Jacob Hall, and Tyler Pray. Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Berthelot and Marshall Spurlock. Kay was a graduate of Central Private Academy. She enjoyed canning, antiquing, traveling, taking care of and babysitting Ginger and Winnie. She loved Jesus and Jerry with all her heart.
