Obituary for Brian Malcolm "Coach" Spillman

Brian Malcolm “Coach” Spillman died on Tuesday, June 19, 2018. He was 44 years old and was retired from the City of Baker School System. Coach Spillman coached for over 20 years in the Baton Rouge and surrounding area. He was a resident of Zachary. Visiting will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary on Friday, June 22, 2018 from 5pm until 8pm. Visitation continues on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Fellowship Church from 9am until religious service at 10am. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Amy Thomas Spillman. Sons, Brian Slade Spillman and fiancée Hannah Fehr, Thomas Jordan Spillman and Terrell Browden. Brother, Anthony Wayne Spillman and wife, Stephanie. Father in law and mother in law, Joe and Wanda Dunn Thomas, Sisters in law, Julie Thomas Etheridge and Kim Spillman Felter. Grandmother, Elwanda Peters and special cousin, Missy McKey and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Tommy Joe and Patricia Spillman and a brother, Tommy Joe Spillman, Jr. Pallbearers will be Terrell Browden, Jonathon Spillman, Pedro Martinez, Eddie Martinez, Alex Martinez, Douglas Schultz, Joseph Etheridge and Rusty Etheridge. Special thanks to the entire staff at Ochsner Medical Center for all their compassion and to Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency for all your compassion, support and encouragement over the last 5 ½ years.
