Joyce Ione Lloyd Hooper died peacefully on May 27, 2018 at her residence. She was 86 and a native of Baton Rouge/Central. She was a homemaker, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved fishing and camping.
A 2:00 pm graveside service will be Monday, June 4, 2018 at Blackwater United Methodist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Jonathan King.
She is survived by her two daughters, Stephanie McCarley(Scott), Deborah Mayo(Clifford), one son, James Hooper(teresa), a sister, Dorothy Bennett(Charles), 6 grandchildren, Sarah Mason Darr, Christopher Mayo, Jennifer Mayo Jarrell, Haylee Mayo, Marissa mayo and Arielle Hooper, seven great grandchildren, Charlotte, Abigail and Sutton Darr, James and Samuel Mayo, Maddison and Peyton Jarrell. She is preceded in death by parents, Robert W. and Sarah Jones Lloyd, Husband, James L. Hooper, sister, Cathryn Browning and great grandson, Jadon Mayo.
She was a member of Blackwater United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Blackwater United Methodist Church. Special thanks to Carla Curtis for always being there!
