Calvin Young, a resident of Ethel and a native of Delaplaine, AR, he died at his home on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018. He was 70 years old and was retired from Phillips Services Visitation will be at Redwood Baptist Church, Slaughter on Friday, Jan. 26, 2018 from 9am until service at 11am conducted by Dr. Ron Aguillard. Burial will be in Redwood Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Bobbie Brashier Young. 2 daughters, Sandy Graham and husband, Mitchell, Slaughter, and Michelle Murray and husband, Kerry, Angola, and a son, Steven Young and wife, Angela, Denham Springs. 10 grandchildren, Lauren Fletcher, Brittany Crain, Johnathan Young, Ryan Savage, Devon Savage, Mackenzie Diaz, Connor Murray, Matthew Bassett, April Prince and Lacy Corcoran. 8 great grandchildren, Jamison, Landon, Camden and Finlee, twins due in March 2018, Ella, KatyGail, Elliott and Nathan. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Joe and Yula Belle Fossett Young and 2 sisters and 3 brothers. Pallbearers will be Ryan Savage, Devon Savage, Travis Young, Luke Fletcher, Johnathan Young, and Tommy Brashier. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Brashier, Mitchell Graham, Ford Young, Dallas Grice, Charles Young, Ricky Arnett and Kerry Murray.
