The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Gary Chelette can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Janet Ortego Geal
Condolence: Karen, Mark and the family, I am so very very sorry to hear of Gary's passing. I think of us often growing up in Bunkie on Patton Street. We all played together in the yard between our houses; fond memories of your dad driving up in the Jack's Cookie truck, and hoping for a snack. Loved sitting and talking with your mom and having those peanut butter and banana sandwiches. Wish those days would have never ended. Please accept our condolences to you and all your family. I will have a Mass said at St. Anthony's in Bunkie for Gary Wayne on his birthday, April 7th. May he rest in peace; Janet, Nolan, Jr., and Glenn Ortego, Bunkie, LA.

Condolence: I will always remember the good times growing up with Gary and Jude. I could not have asked for 2 better first cousins. In the 11th chapter of John, Jesus teaches us where Gary is and when and how we will see him again. John 11:11-14 clearly tells us Gary is in a deep sleep. Verse 24 tells us Jesus will resurrect him, just like he did Lazarus. How? Verses 43-44 say by simply calling Gary's name and saying "come out." Just like Lazarus, Gary will wake up and come out of his memorial tomb alive again. A truthful comforting thought for us who remain.
