David ""Pop"" Toussaint, a resident of Jackson, died on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018. He was 59 years old. Visitation will be at Apostolic Tabernacle of the Feliciana's, Jackson on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018 from 6pm until 9pm and continues on Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018 from 10am until religious service at 1pm conducted by Bro. Tony Danzy. Burial will be in Second Baptist Church Cemetery, Jackson. He is survived by his wife, Rita Fletcher Toussaint. 2 daughters, Melinda (Warren) and Shantel and 2 sons, Steve II and Scott (Amanda). Siblings, Lawrence (Winnie), Otis, Jr. and Lorenza and a sister in law, Carolyn. 7 grandchildren, Crystal (Michael), Ashley (Matthew), Chassidy (JR) Destiny (Walter), Shaelyn, Noah, and Ma'saih. 4 great grandchildren, McKenzie, Michael, Aubrea and Ava. He is preceded in death by his parents, Otis, Sr. and Viola Toussaint. A sister, Florence and a brother, Clarence. Pallbearers will be MeKell Toussaint, Wyatt Freeman, Nicholas Yates, Michael Robinson, JR Hoyt, Matthew Gardner, Warren Banks and Walter Morgan. Honorary pallbearers will be Lawrence Toussaint, Otis Toussaint, Jr., Charles Fletcher, Noah Sagley, and Hank Fletcher. David was a member of The Pentecostals of Baton Rouge, served on the Board and sang on the Praise Team. He was the best ""Pop"" in the world.
