Obituary for Pauline Fritzges Morris

Pauline Fritzges Morris, “Polly”, 79, a native of Santa Fe, NM and a resident of Ethel, LA, died on Saturday, November 25, 2017. She was retired, after working most of her life as a registered nurse, most recently for 12 years for Humana Hospital in Webster, TX. There will be a visitation on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 10925 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70815 from 9am until memorial services at 11am, conducted by Pastor David Buss. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Hugh D. “Jack” Morris; one daughter, Kathleen Barr of Ethel, LA; one son, Hugh Morris III of Ethel, LA; four sisters: Dorothea Harrison and her husband Denny of Palmer, AK; Judy Cox and her husband Ron of Albuquerque, NM; Alma Sage of Albuquerque, NM; Francine Greene and husband Dean Willis of Seal Beach, CA; one brother, John Fritzges and his wife Rose Ann of Delta, UT; two granddaughters: Elizabeth Blasingame and Jennifer Barr; and three great-grandchildren: Oliver Blasingame, Nathan Loup, and Owen Roller. She was preceded in death by her parents George and Alma Fritzges. She was a graduate of Santa Fe High School; Church Home and Hospital School of Nursing, Baltimore, MD; and Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore. She served her church by teaching Sunday School and VBS. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her hobbies were sewing, hiking, and walking her dogs. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Trinity Lutheran Church or the charity of your choice.
