Obituary for Carolyn Bourgoyne Ard

Carolyn B. Ard, known as “Muzz” to all of her grandchildren and extended family, was born on December 30, 1928, has died on November 14, 2017. She was a gifted cook and seamstress, loved arts and crafts, and all of the camping, traveling and adventures that her life as a military wife brought. There will be a visitation on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Zachary from 9am until funeral mass at 10am, conducted by Rev. M. Jeffery Bayhi. Burial will be at Azalea Rest Cemetery. She is survived by her son, Donald Louis Ard and his wife Jackie; her daughter, Jennifer Lynn Ard; her brother, Fred Bourgoyne; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Louis F. Ard Jr.; her son, Michael Errol Ard; parents Matthew and Anona Bourgoyne; sister Birtie Denham; and brothers Norris Bourgoyne, Robert Bourgoyne, and Matthew Bourgoyne.
