Felicia graduated from Zachary High School in 1947 and LSU in 1951. She was a lifelong member of Zachary United Methodist Church, Zachary United Methodist Women, Lane Auxiliary Hospital member for over 23 years, Zachary Chamber of Commerce Beautification Committee, 55 Plus Club and Prime Timers.

Felicia was a beautiful woman with a sweet, Christian spirit. She was one of the warmest, most caring and generous people and friends you’d ever know whose smile and sense of humor were infectious. She was a devoted wife, extraordinarily loving mother and grandmother who especially enjoyed her many friendships in the community throughout out her life. It gave her great joy in her heart to listen to and help people whenever she could. A motto she taught and lived by was, “If you want a friend, be a friend.”

Although she most enjoyed the company of family and friends, her hobbies and interests over the years included cooking and canning, cake decorating volunteering at church and in the community, flower gardening (especially those daffodils!), bird feeding, travel and LSU sports.

One of her favorite scripture verses was 1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
We were all so blessed to know her and have her in our lives!
Thank you to the staff who took good care of her at Ollie Steele Burden Manor.
A special thanks to the sitters with Quality Care Sitting Service who took extra special care of her.
A special thanks to our dear friend Karen Griffith for all her help and friendship.
