Obituary for Thomas Hickman "Tommy" Kees

Thomas Hickman Kees, “Tommy”, 73, a resident of Pride, Louisiana, died at his home on Monday, April 17, 2017. He was retired, after working for 20 years for Entergy at River Bend and the Ethyl Corporation for eighteen years. He was a native of Water Valley, MS. A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at the Sandy Creek Baptist Church from 5pm until 8pm. Visitation will continue at the church on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 10am until funeral services at 11am, conducted by Rev. Tim Norris. Burial will be at the Louisiana National Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Barbara Mitchell Kees; one son, Kevin Kees of Baton Rouge; one sister, Beverly Jones and her husband Tom of Baton Rouge; one brother, Robert Kees and his wife Nita Kees of DeSoto, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, John Kees; and his parents Preston and Ethel Kees. He was a veteran of the US Army. He was a graduate of Baton Rouge High School and a member of the American Legion.
